Please join us at 5:30pm Mar 5, 2013 for an evening of technology and science mingling with fine food at the amazing Boffins Club at Innovation Place.
Innovation Place is providing the venue and a sponsored dinner. Attendees need only to bring $15 for their meal and cash for drinks.
Can guys come? Girl Geek Dinners are not exclusively female! Guys are welcome at a 1:1 ratio with a female guest so feel free to bring your spouse or work buddy.
I’m a student, can you sponsor me? There are a few sponsored spots for students. Please indicate if you are a student on your RSVP and we will contact you about sponsorship.
Where do I sign up? Update! We’re sold out at 40 seats! You should receive an email with a link to select menu choice, please confirm by Sunday, Mar 3 at midnight.
What are we going to talk about? Saskatoon’s dinners generally follow this format:
- 10 minutes: Arrive and connect
- 10-20 minutes: Introductions (Who are you? What do you do? What skills are you developing? What do you hope to achieve through attending these events?)
- 30 minutes: Dinner
- 10-30 minutes: Screening: Cheryl Sandberg “Why we have too few women leaders” & Discussion
- 10-30 minutes: Brainstorming: Growing mentorship in your industry
Can I present? Presentations are open to all attendees, but we do like to have at least one person lined up to speak before hand.
If you have any questions or are interested in speaking please contact me at melanie dot cey at gmail dot com or drop a comment on this page.
